In 2004, Richard Wolfgang participated in the Mackinac Island Community Foundation "Turtles Around Town" fundraiser.

The large painted turtles were displayed on Mackinac Island throughout the summer and auctioned off during an event at Fort Mackinac in August.

Wolfgang's turtle, Madame Butterfly, resides at Wings of Mackinac next to the Mackinac Island Carriage Tours Surrey Hill.
